You never know what you'll find from Russian battlefields. Discovered near Mosalsk, Russia, this Messerschmitt Bf 109 wingtip was unearthed in 2017 and even with a crushed leading edge from impact, the paint and overall structure found in fairly amazing condition. Still painted in original RLM 04 GELB - or Reichsluftfahrtministerium (German Ministry of Aviation) Yellow, but in faded condition, the original RLM 74/75 top camouflage can be found underneath along with the RLM 76 paint on the bottom.
Limited details exist about the aircraft - other than it was a Messerschmitt Bf 109 F or G Model and had crashed in the area. No data plates have been discovered, but the wingtip light bracket was still intact - albeit, no bulb.
