WWII Messerschmitt Bf 109 Historical Plaque IN FULL COLOR- w/ Actual Relic on an 8"x10" Display Plaque

From the Workshop of Artist Craig Tinder - Appreciate the art, learn the story, feel the history.

This is a unique opportunity to own an actual relic of a Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter that was acquired directly from the source and has NEVER been in collectors’ circulation.

This 8” x 10” (20 x 25 cm) historical plaque combines this rare artifact, along with the story of the piece, and a beautifully detailed illustration created by artist Craig Tinder.

Included within this display is an actual fragment of a Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter from the Eastern Front of World War II. This rare collectible was unearthed near a known crash site outside the town of Gumrak, Russia. This specific excavation location is within close proximity of what is now the Volgograd (Stalingrad) Airport. The entire area around Gumrak was involved in heavy fighting during the siege of Stalingrad in 1943 (23 August 1942 - 2 February 1943).

After the defeat of the German military in Stalingrad, many local civilians collected abandoned enemy aircraft hulks and recycled the materials for scrap. A majority of what remains are small fragments which can sometimes be found distributed along the countryside.
