RMS Titanic Historical Plaque IN FULL COLOR- w/ Actual Relic on an 8"x10" Display Plaque

From the Workshop of Artist Craig Tinder - Appreciate the art, learn the story, feel the history.

This is a unique opportunity to own an actual fragment of coal from the ill-fated RMS Titanic that was retrieved from the recovery expedition in 1994.

This 8” x 10” (20 x 25 cm) historical plaque combines this rare artifact, along with the story of the piece, and a beautifully detailed illustration of “Maiden Farewell - 1912 Titanic” created by artist Craig Tinder.

Titanic was powered by twenty-nine boilers which measured over 15-feet, at a weight of 92 tons each. The ship initially set sail with over 6,000 tons of coal on board, she had already consumed over 3,000 tons by 15 April. As the ship broke in half and submerged, much of the remaining coal spilled out across the ocean floor.

This artifact is an actual piece of RMS Titanic’s coal that was retrieved from the ocean floor during the 1994 Research and Recovery Expedition by RMS Titanic, Inc. The fragment is from artifact No. 94/0036 - which is the 36th object recovered from the 1994 expedition.
